Presented as part of Fashion Farm Foundation’s HKFG SS27 Presentation, Showcase and Networking during Paris Fashion Week, Tigers Trolling was among eight Hong Kong labels brought to Paris to present their latest work. While the broader program introduced a cross-section of Hong Kong’s contemporary fashion scene, Tigers Trolling’s solo presentation centered on a more elusive proposition: a utopia that can be glimpsed but never fully reached.
For Spring/Summer 2027, Tigers Trolling explores the meeting point between traditional garments and futuristic materials, using the tension between the familiar and the artificial as the foundation of the collection. The resulting wardrobe occupies an uncertain space between references to inherited forms and a speculative future, where identity itself becomes less fixed.
The presentation extended this idea into the space. At its centre stood a semi-transparent greenhouse constructed from industrial plastic film. Inside, a circular mound of plants was illuminated by a single spotlight. From outside, the structure revealed only blurred silhouettes and fragments of colour, creating the impression of a world glimpsed through haze or memory.

The installation provided an effective physical expression of the collection’s central contradiction. The greenhouse suggests protection, growth and an enclosed ecosystem, yet its industrial material makes it feel distinctly artificial. Nature and technology are placed in direct opposition, while the transparency of the structure creates visibility without access.
That tension carries into the clothing. Traditional garment references are confronted with synthetic and futuristic materials, producing a dialogue between past and future rather than a straightforward progression from one to the other. Tigers Trolling does not present futurism as polished or technologically triumphant. Instead, it appears fragmented, uncertain and somewhat dreamlike.
Tigers Trolling’s SS27 presentation consequently functioned as more than a setting for the clothes. The greenhouse, the obscured figures and the tension between organic and industrial materials formed a coherent extension of the collection’s premise. It was a vision of another world kept deliberately out of reach, suspended somewhere between memory, invention and possibility.
