“Collection 00” is the debut capsule of Sandra Jao, a womenswear label exploring the intersection of sculptural form, technical innovation, and utilitarian design.

Drawing inspiration from systems of shelter, nomadic lifestyles, and outdoor equipment, the collection reinterprets familiar archetypes such as umbrellas and ropes into sculptural, modular garments.

Through exaggerated volumes, unconventional construction, and technical materials, it explores the relationship between the body, clothing, and its surrounding environment.

Central to the collection is an ongoing research collaboration with YKK Japan, particularly the experimental application of AiryString technology, which enables the construction of zippers without conventional fabric tape. Moving beyond its functional origins, the technology is used to create fluid silhouettes, sculptural forms, and intricate garment details.

Developed in collaboration with Japanese manufacturers and Italian artisans, “Collection 00” establishes the foundations of Sandra Jao’s design language: archetype subversion, modularity, and technology-led craftsmanship.

The collection debuted in Paris in September 2026 as part of “A Bunch of Designers”, an initiative supported by the Richemont Group.
