Ssyncrtsm collection “Spartan Poetry” is a synthesis of recent and earlier experiments. Many of the pieces originate from textile explorations developed during the designer’s studies, combining different textile design techniques and processes to create greater depth directly within the material.
The collection brings together artisanal felting of merino wool with linear knitted fabric imbrication, textile dyeing using tea and coffee mixtures, and the rotting of materials over several weeks to produce unpredictable color fluctuations, among other processes.
A combination of strict, austere silhouettes and complex, torn fabrics highlights the idea of a subtle narrative emerging from a dark and formal atmosphere: Spartan Poetry.
