D.Hygen builds Fall/Winter 2026–27 on a consistent concept: “Strainism.” Continuing the brand’s established practice of deconstructing and reconstructing basic garments, the season incorporates elements of tailoring, military dress, and crust core punk, bringing together the heavy constructions that defined its foundation with the more casual components that have emerged in recent years.
Material development plays a central role. Stretch jacquard fabrics evoke textures reminiscent of burning and peeling, while uneven dyeing inspired by rust informs the color palette. Patchwork, check patterns, product coatings, and inkjet-printed gradients establish a dialogue between textile surface and silhouette. The brand introduces its first-ever printed items this season.
Key pieces include a rider’s jacket subjected to heavy stone-washing and coating treatments, combining horse leather with patchwork jacquard and finished with hand-applied studs. A combination jacket crafted from French baby lamb mouton and horse leather further articulates the collection’s emphasis on material contrast and density.

Silhouettes retain the brand’s signature slim lines yet expand in proportion and structure. Shorter-length designs and relaxed fits with added width appear alongside sharply tailored, compact forms. Beyond visual construction, the garments are developed with careful attention to practicality and functionality.
The ongoing collaboration with denim processing artisans in Kojima, Okayama continues to shape the collection’s textile experimentation. Quilting techniques are applied to a sashiko jacquard base layered with gauze fabric, while all distressing inspired by crust core punk, sashiko repairs, and hand stitching are executed manually. Through a repeated process of intentional destruction and reinforcement, the pieces acquire the texture of authentic vintage garments.
ABOUT D.HYGEN
D.Hygen, formerly known as Saddam Teissy, was established in Osaka in 2015. Since debuting its first collection for Autumn/Winter 2016/17, the brand has steadily built a reputation for its conceptual rigor and commitment to craft.
At its core, D.Hygen blends traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary design logic, emphasizing texture, fit, and material innovation. The brand avoids theatrical gestures and instead pursues a focused, architectural vision. Its philosophy, hinted at in the proverb HAI_GEN, centers on the idea of regaining control over unseen forces, of using clothing not only to shape the body but to move through the world with intention.
