ABOUT Isabella Charles
Isabella Charles is an Australian fashion designer whose work is founded on a dark, monochromatic palette and adorned with gothic overtones. She experiments with a dichotomy of textile mediums, combining naïve and refined approaches to material techniques. Her work serves as a visual narrative, conveying highly conceptual themes through both her visual identity and textile design.
After formally studying fashion design and gaining international industry experience, including work on collections presented at Berlin, Paris and Australian Fashion Weeks, the designer has relaunched her eponymous label back in Australia.
The brand refutes mass production and values handmade manufacturing, with all pieces made to order in its hinterland Queensland design studio. All materials are Australian-sourced and primarily deadstock, contributing to long-term sustainability goals and a reduction in production waste.
