For SS25, VENIA explores the tale of two travelers in search of their loved ones across a vast and desolate landscape — reflecting themes of journey, grief, and hopefulness.
Dust blows as the blurry figures emerge from the sand blown landscape, walking through what seems to be a completely destroyed building. You see their grimacing faces and tired looks, their stressed posture and weathered garments. The travelers are searching for their friends and family and any clues that may lead to their whereabouts. As days become weeks and weeks become months, the hope they once had begins to dwindle. When all hope seemed lost, a sign of life gives them the small encouragement to continue on.
About Venia
Founded by Los Angeles based design duo Christine Ko and Keeter Ly, VENIA was created to be a Graceful Rebellion dedicated to the exploration of clothing evolution. Drawing inspiration from the spirit of adventure in a dystopic parallel universe, the duo designs in the form of seasonal collections imprinted with deep reflections of nature, society, and postmodern phenomena.
