Designed in collaboration with visionary artist Michèle Lamy, Object 001 was inspired by a piece of petrified wood in her personal collection. With the idea of utility in mind, she was drawn to the communal nature of a candle and its ability to bring people together around a flame.

Michèle Lamy is an iconic artist, performer, muse, model, and entrepreneur. Having started her career as a defense lawyer, she moved to Los Angeles in 1979 to pursue a more creative path. There, she opened two cult restaurants/nightclubs and launched her own fashion line, “Lamy”, where Rick Owens was hired. He quickly became her partner in both business and in life.
After relocating to Paris, the duo founded Owenscorp in 2004, cementing their status as one of fashion’s most influential power couples through their visionary projects.
